「ドラモシー・ムーアよ、汝の荒れた原野は…」──カロデンの戦い（1746年）を予言
17世紀のブラハンの予言者は「ドラモシーの荒れ野（Drummossie Moor）は、多くのスコットランドの血で染まる日が来る」と予言したとされる。1746年4月16日のカロデンの戦いはジャコバイト軍がカンバーランド公率いるハノーヴァー軍に惨敗した場所がまさにドラモシー・ムーア（カロデン・ムーア）であり、この予言の成就として語られる。

Oh! Drummossie, thy bleak moor shall, ere many generations have passed away, be stained with the best blood of the Highlands. Glad am I that I will not see the day, for it will be a fearful period; heads will be lopped off by the score, and no mercy will be shown or quarter given on either side.
補足・解説
この予言も1877年のMackenzie出版物が出典。1746年の出来事を知った上での事後加筆の可能性は否定できないが、地名「Drummossie」の特定という点で具体性は高い。
